The Kiwanis hosted its 64th annual Easter Egg hunt on Sunday, April 5, 2026
Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, brought another joyful community celebration as families gathered at Benicia City Park for the Benicia Kiwanis Club’s 64th Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
The event featured adorable family photo opportunities, face painting, sack races, music, and, of course, thousands of candy-filled eggs and special prize eggs hidden throughout the hunt area. Many families made a full day of the celebration, enjoying picnics and barbecues at the park’s numerous picnic tables surrounding the Hunt Zone.
The Benicia Kiwanis Club partnered with Benicia High School Key Club, Scouting America, and the Benicia Lions Club to create a memorable experience for children and families of all ages. The event continues a tradition that has brought smiles to generations of Benicia residents for more than six decades.
“Our Easter Egg Hunt is one of the ways we celebrate children and families in our community each spring,” said the Benicia Kiwanis Club. “Seeing so many happy faces year after year reminds us why this tradition has remained a beloved community event for 64 years.”
Those who missed this year’s festivities can mark their calendars now for next year’s Easter Egg Hunt, scheduled for Sunday, March 28, 2027, at Benicia City Park in and around the Bandstand.
Attendees are encouraged to bring baskets for collecting eggs and goodies, bunny ears for extra fun, and cameras to capture the memories. Most importantly, bring family and friends who enjoy music, community, and a hopping good time.
Founded in 1926, the Benicia Kiwanis Club remains steadfast in its mission of improving the world, one child and one community at a time.
